Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
the trabant light by joachim manz uses a small concrete sphere and glass lens to create an flexible pendant light. the design was created in 2008 for the manufacturer technolum who now produces the lamp in160mm and180mm sizes. the lamps can be adjusted to angle in different directions thanks to a small slot along their top. the concrete shells have been sliced open to allow the light parts to fit inside, while the glass lens on the bottom completes the sphere shape. http://www.achimmanz.de http://www.tecnolumen.de (via joachim manz: trabant)
