designer martin neuhaus has designed ‘becherlicht’ a cup light which functions as a wall luminaire. the light throws three-dimensional colored shadows onto the wall. neuhaus always wanted the old classic lampshade to have an ‘aha!’ factor. who would have thought a cup? a bit of an optical illusion, when the light is in ‘off’ mode, it appears to be absolutely nothing.
