This Number Crunching Life: Data driven march madness predictions I didn’t really pay attention to college basketball this year, so I decided to take a different approach to my bracket.  I assembled a database of every division 1 basketball game played this year (by all teams, not just the ones that made the tournament), and I built a model of each team’s offensive and defensive skill, trained on this data, then simulated the full tournament.
